Candace, thank you, that does help. I did not know when or where Elizabeth Herring died. I was still not sure if Richard married Nancy Evans after Elizabeth's death or if that was their son Richard who married Nancy.
I will save this to a file and look over it more later.
I need to help you make a couple of corrections in what you have posted for me.
1)Richard Ricks probably died in Laurens Co., GA, not NC, as he was in the Laurens County, GA legal records in the 1820s.
2)Cairo, GA, is in Grady County, not Mitchell.
Mitchell County would be Camilla, etc.

Have a Question - are these Wynns from Georgia? My uncle, Willard Stephens married Helen Florence or Florence Helen Wynn and his daughter-in-law is doing research on the Wynns, who by the way were in or either ended up in Cairo, in Grady County, GA. If you think there is a connection could you please post it, and I will alert my Stephens cousin to it.
