Hi there Sally…I am also doing research on the Ricks family and some information I have might be some help.I have a list of early baptisms, burials and marriages. This information was sent to me by Pat Rix who is the research secretary for the “Rix Alliance” I note that Isaac & Martha Ricks had the following children Baptisms 1816 July 28 John s. Isaac & Martha – laborer 1820 Nov 30 Job s. Isaac & Martha - laborer 1823 Jan 12 Joseph s. Isaac & Martha – laborer 1825 Mar 27 Job s. Isaac & Martha – laborer 1831 Dec 4 Rueben s. Isaac & Martha – laborer Burials 1813 June 4 Stephen s. Isaac & Martha – infant 1822 July 1 Job s. Isaac & Martha – infant 1829 Jesse s. Isaac & Martha – infant 1833 Sept 22 Martha Rix – 43yrs Do you think Richard is the son of Isaac? If he is 21 in 1836 and Isaac is 36 in 1836 as per the passenger list Isaac would have been 15 when he sired him!!! There is a Isaac born to Nathaniel & Hannah Ricks in Purton Oct 10 1793 The only Richard I have on the baptisms around 1815 is 1814 Feb 20 Richard s. William & Unity –laborer I hope this is some help……….Kind regards Jack Ricks ( in Australia) Notify Administrator about this message?
