Looking for birth, sibling, forbear info on any of the following.
I believe Thomas Russel and Jane Larey to be the parents of my ggg-grandmother Elizabeth Rickey(nee Russel), since they lived next door. The ages match up on the censuses and kids usually didn't wander too far from home in those days. Thomas was born approx. 1803 probably in Ohio. Jane Larey was born +/- 1803. One of their mothers may be Margaret Martin born 1780-1790. They were married 27 Mar 1828 in the newly formed county of Tippecanoe, Indiana. All the censuses show them to be in Madison township which is Linden, Indiana. Jane is buried in the Linden cemetery. I believe the following to be their children, all of whom were most likely born in the Linden area: Elizabeth b.1825, Jackson b.1832, Margaret b.1835, Julia b.1837, Rachel b.1839, Martin V. b.1842, Dallas b.1844. There are several Russel families is Indiana, but unless it is several generations further back , I have not found a common ancestor amongst them. So far, I am stuck at this generation. Elizabeth married Emanuel Rickey 16 Dec 1846. Elizabeth and Emanuel are both listed as buried in the Homer G.A.R. Cemetery, Homer, Champaign county, Illinois. I am also trying to push further on Emanuel Rickey b. 1816 probably in Ohio. Elizabeth and Emanuel had the following children: William Henry b.1847, Charles b.1850, Edward b. 1863, John W. b.1856, George M. b.1859, Jay b.1864, James H. b.1868, Oliver b.1871. Not sure if John W's middle name is William or Wesley. Some of them stayed around Linden. Some went to Philo, Homer, etc., in Champaign county, Illinois. Thanks in advance for any help!!!
