After thinking my Uncle was jokeing about my g g grandparents being Adam and Eve I did some searching and finally after a number of years did in fact find Adam J Ricketts and his wife Eve! I photographed their tomb stones this past August in The Brethern Cemetary in Johnsville MD. Adam was born January 12, 1819 in Baden Germany. He died Sept. 13,1895. Eve died Oct. 26,1873 and was 61 years old. On the bottom of their stones it says, "Gone But Not Forgotten" Indeed they are not forgotten. A gg granddaughter has found them after years of searching. Also in the cemetary is the grave of Adam's second wife. Sarah Ricketts born May 22,1858 died Apjril 1, 1945. On the bottom of her stone it say, " At Rest. "
I know from the 1870 cencus that Adam and Eve had sons John and Tyler. From the 1880 cencus Sarah and Adam had a son Adam E. Ricketts.
Is there anyone out their researching this family?
