Trish,
I just posted today two things re the RICKER name as another spelling from GERMANY and that part of the world.

My brother and wife who live in Norwary have just returned from a trip to the EIFEL regio, part of Rhineland, of GERMANY, in the hills not far from Belgium and the Netherlands and discovered original records in the church in Blankenheim, Germany, as well as civil records for births and marriages.

We now have the name of Gertrud RIQUIR who married Heinrich WILMS / WILLMS, in 1857 in Blankenheim, Germany---shown both on the church record for their son's birth (Johann Joseph WILLMS, bonr 1858, Blankenheim, Ger) and on the civil record for that son's marriage in 1882 in Blankenheim to Magdalena PAULY born 1856 in Ripsdorf (about 3 miles from Blankenheim) where her mother's KLINKHAMMER family and her father's PAULE /PAULY family lived.

My brother is as I write still translating records they obtained from the "city hall" in Blankenheim which has civil records for families living in many small towns in this part of the EIFEL region.

If you are interested, please contact me . . .
