In case anyone's still following the female lines of Maturin Ricker, I hope this information about his daughter, Sarah is helpful:
I descend through Maturin Ricker's and Rebecca Shaw's daughter Sarah, b. 1702 Somersworth, Strafford County, NH; d. 04 Mar 1800.Sarah was carried off as a child by Indians and later ransomed.(My references do not document the date of her capture nor how long she was held captive, however 04 June 1706 was the date Indians captured her brother Noah and killed her father Maturin, Uncle George, and at least 8 others, so it is reasonable to assume she was captured during that same attack.)
Sarah married as his 2nd wife, [Captain] John Wingate, b. 10 April 1693 Dover, NH; d. September 1764. (John married 1st, 1717, Dorothy Tebbets, dau. of Samuel Tebbets of Dover, NH.) John was one of 12 children of [Captain] John Wingate, b. 13 July 1670 Dover, NH; d. 1715, and wife Ann ____.
