I am so glad that the obituary was of some help.

I became curious after your reply, so I decided to poke around a bit for you. I found some additional information about Thomas and his family that may also be of help.

Here's a bit of the information I found on the 1900 and 1910 Census...

1900 Census California...Alameda County...2WD Berkeley
Rickard, Thomas...b. Aug (looks like 1865)...France
Alice...wife...b. June 1868...California
Leontine...dau...b. May 1889...California
Helen...dau...b. June 1891...California
Donald...son...b.Aug 1894...California
Thomas...son...b. Jan 1899...California

1910 Census California...Alameda County...Oakland Twsp.
Berkeley City
Rickard, Thomas age 42
Alice age 41
Leontine age 20
Helen age 18
Donald age 15
Thomas age 10
This census indicates that Thomas and Alice were married for 21 years and it looks like Thomas Immigrated to America in 1867???

I also found Thomas and some of the family in the Mountain View Cemetery...Oakland, Alameda County, California. I'll send the link to the cemetery listing directly to your email address, if you would like me to do so.
