I recently realized I never responded. I wrote for, but did not receive, Levisa's death certificate. They couldn't find it. I called Burnet County courthouse to tack the information Dolores Boyd had provided. I later spoke with someone who had the city cemetery records. The "Evelyn Smith" that Dolores Boyd wrote about was related to another Smith family, not Samuel Smith. I don't think this is our Evelyn Thomas Richie Smith. But, I'm still looking.

I went to Rusk County and copied the marriage license for Mrs. L. E. Richie/Samuel Smith. I found no other records in that county. I want to focus my search in Travis County and surrounding areas where the Smiths lived. Do we know what happened to the oldest daughter, Louisa Caroline? Did she marry? I've searched for records, but I'm not sure I've tagged the correct person.

Sorry for the delay, the past year has been filled with illness/death in family. Thanks.
