ABRAHAM RICHEY married Catherine Glass in 1815 in Columbiana County, OH. The family is on the 1820 census in Butler Township, Columbiana County, OH. In 1823 Abraham dies. PETER RICHEY is named the guardian of Abraham’s four minor children: Elizabeth b. abt 1816, William J. b. 1817, Issac b. 1819, and Rebecca b. 1821. Peter is also the administrator of Abraham’s estate. At the estate sale purchases are made by PETER, JACOB, CATHERINE and MICHAEL RICHEY. I believe Peter was the father of Abraham. I believe that Jacob and Michael were sons of Peter, brothers of Abraham. The Richey name was also spelled RITCHIE, RITCHEY, RICHIE.
In 1834 the widow CATHERINE GLASS RICHEY married widower JOHN ALLOMONG in Columbiana County. Sometime in the 1840’s they move to Williams County OH, Florence Township( They live next to JOSEPH PALMER). I believe they move into the dwelling of Catherine’s widowed daughter- ELIZABETH RICHEY PERKEY/PERKY(George W. Perkey and Elizabeth Richey were married in Columbiana County in 1837. George is on the 1840 census in Williams Co, He dies sometime before the 1850 census.) In September of 1850 ELIZABETH RICHEY PERKEY/PERKY married Cyrenus Palmer in Williams Co, OH. (I do not know how the family of CYRENUS PALMER and JOSEPH PALMER were related- they were not brothers as far as I know- half brothers, cousins maybe?) ELIZABETH AND CYRENUS PALMER will have three children. One of these children, William Henry, born in 1852, is living in the JOHN ALLOMONG family group on the 1870 census Williams County, Florence Township.
I am a descendant of ABRAHAM RICHEY and CATHERINE GLASS. I am also a descendant of JOSEPH PALMER . Related family surnames in Williams County: PEASE, STOCKWELL, SICKLES.
