I have his parents as Jean-Baptiste Richer (son of Guillaume Richer & Ursule Lalonde of Ste Scholastique) and Marguerite Messaille (dau of Joseph Messaille & Madeleine Bouchard). They were married 26 Sep 1825 in St Benoit.

François Xavier Richer married Mathilde Goyer on 25 Oct 1858 in Ste Scholastique. Mathilde was the dau of Michel Goyer and Catherine Richer. I don’t know how Catherine fits in with the other Richers.

My source is Répertoire des Marriages de Deux Montagnes. This does not give dates of birth, so I would welcome any additional information.
