"Paris Richardson": aide to Gen. Washington ???
Can anyone shed any light on this?
Parris (Parish, etc.) Richardson, born 3 Jul 1752, born to Parris and Elizabeth Richardson, originally of Chelmsford, MA. The senior Parris moved his family to Goffstown and later Derryfield (Manchester), NH. Another son of Parris (Sr) and Elizabeth, Robert, was apparently born in what was later Litchfield NH in 1751. Robert married Elizabeth Carr, and two of their sons, James and Nathaniel, settled in Orange County, VT.
Several references list the younger Parris Richardson as having served as an aide to General Washington. Can anyone point me to some more direct sources of information of this type, or might this just be a family legend? Parris (Jr) had a sister Elizabeth who married Thomas Thornton, who removed to Albany, NY.
