Virginia Lee Hutcheson Davis in TIDEWATER VIRGINIA FAMILIES has an Isham Richardson married to Mary Terrell in Louisa Co. VA.His dates are something like 1725-1789.Then there are Isham Richardsons in KY and elsewhere.I am trying to link the Isham in 1700s VA with the Isham Richardson, son of William, who had been living in Moore Co., N.C. until the whole clan left for Lauderdale Co. around 1822.On this trip the old man, William, said to have been a Revolutionary War veteran, died near Knoxville. The Isham who made it to Lauderdale Co. is the father of the Isham Petty Richardson who served in the Civil War.There's a great 1884 letter online written by Hiram Richardson describing the arrival of the clan in Lauderdale Co.He says the father of William (d. near Knoxville) came from Wales. Can anyone link the Lauderdale Ishams with the Louisa Co. VA Isham? Thanks for any help.I descend from the William Richardson who died enroute.
