Hi Christine,I appreciate your answer to my query about the marriage between Francois Richard and Elizabeth Martin. However I am a liitle confused.I have done more research into their Acadian roots.I found that Francois Richard was born in 1741 and during the family's exile in Connecticut he married Angele Bourg in 1760 per Adrien Bergeron's "Le Grand Arrangement".Angele could have died and he then married Elizabeth Martin. However,Elizabeth was born in 1728 so she would have been 13 years older than Francois. Also I have a record from Stephen White's Acadian book that said that Elizabeth married Pierre Lord(Laure)in 1747 and died in St.Pierre de Martinique in 1791.Also,other family trees on ancestry.com list 2 other marriages for Francois:Isabelle Marthe Hebert in 1774 and Kouise Labrecque in 1807.Could there be 2 Elizabeth Martins?I would appreciate any further information that you might have. Thanks,Ralph Mitchell.
