Hey there Rich's,
I've been looking for new posts that help me find my family's past. My father was a Merchant Seaman since age 16 and had to leave the merchant marine to serve in WW2, after comming back from Germany with his new wife and son he was forced back into a life at sea due to bad working conditions here stateside. His father abandoned his family somewhere around the time of his sister's batmitzfa and brothers birth. His Grandfather was born Futeransky and some time after his 3 plus son's were grown the name was change to Rich. Not sure if the Rich name was given or taken (much like the cable TV show about the modernday Gypsies called "The Riches". Anyway, my name is Rich and I would like to know something about my family's past.
