Howdy Hey Rich's and all their counter parts,
It's been over a week since I've posted last and only person posted since. I just want to know where I fit into the whole shceme of things. I am only a second generation Rich and my dad just passed away, he was Howard I. Rich, born June 20th, 1927. His mother was Florence Rothman/ Rich/ Paterson, born May 8th, 1907. His father was Max Rich from Brooklyn NY and his birth name was Max Futeransky which is Russian. I've traced him back 2 generations to his Grandfather Wolf Futeransky and Wolf's son Nathan Futeransky, both men were naturalized in 1904 and Nathan wed in 1896 in Manhatten to Anne Taplitzsky the daughter of Jacob Taplitzsky who was the son of Michael Taplitzsky. I was raised around and with the Rothman side of the family and can follow them back 2 generations as well, Florences father was Emil Rothman and his wife was Aaronka Furst, she was Austrian and G.Grandpa Emil was Hungarian and from what I gather All of which at one time could have been concidered as being German. My dad used to tell of a Prussian connection which could date the Fursts as Colonists if I can connect that far back.
As far as fitting into the Rich family I may have found clues as to which one of the off shoots my people and I belong, through possibly an illegal adoption, so to speak. Grandpa Rich was a retired policeman turned night watchman some time after being one of the original motorcycle trooper from the tristate area of Penn., NJ.,and NY. He was called Jack and could very well have been Nathan Futeransky because I've never heard tail of him ever leaving or dieing young (Grandpa Max, on the other hand went missing around 1948 or 9 while on a trip to the corner store to buy some smokes). There have been Annies on every side of my family back ground other than that of my mother who as of yet hasn't entered the equation.
In my childhood I remember talk of a farm up state and have cousins in Buffalo but, I was raised in the Bronx until we moved to South Florida to be closer to dad's port of call and his mother as well. I later moved to Georgia to find a cashe of Rich's down here as well.
Are there that many Rich's or do we over lap somehow? How do I find My Rich's since DNA won't help? Does anyone have a cousin Howard out there?

Any information would be more than helpfull.

thank you,
Jeffrey J. Rich
