I have found some information, but it may not be enough for the DAR. Manuscript at NEHGS, Boston. Eldridge, William H. "Persons by the name of Rich at Salem Mass." Recceived 11 Mar 1940.
Samuel4 Rich (Lieut. Thomas3, Lieut. Elisha2, Samuel1) b. 16 June 1785 at Warwick, Mass; d. 18 Dec. 1825 at Prescott, Ont.; m. 29 Jan. 1804 at Shoreham, Vt., Mary Bailey, b. 5 Apr. 1781 at Shoreham; dau, of Joseph Bailey. She was a school teacher at Shoreham before her marriage. After their marriage, they lived at Shoreham for a time and then removed to Prescott, Ont.

Children of Samuel and Mary (Bailey) Rich:
I.       Boardman, b. 2 Nov. 1804; d. Oct. 1816
II.       Lucy Maria, b. 27 Feb. 1805; d. 19 Mar. 1828
III.       Barden, b. 20 Oct. 1807
IV.       Rosanna, b. 28 Dec. 1808
V.       Gustavus Vosa, b. 4 June 1810
VI.       Christiania, b. 4 Sept. 1812; d. 10 Nov. 1887; m. Almeron Cadwell
VII.       Hampton, b. 1 Dec. 1815; d. 5 Nov. 1900
VIII.       Catherine, b. 15 Mar. 1818; d. 24 Mar. 1822
IX.       Boardman, b. 1 Mar. 1820; d. 27 Feb. 1821
X.       Samuel, b. 12 Feb. l822, d. 25 Sept. 1823
