The birth parents of Jemima Rich have not been identified. She is unidentified by the Rich Family Association, but mentioned at least 5 times in the Wellfleet records: at the births of her children and at her marriage to Hatsel Nickerson on 5 Mar 1799 in Truro, Massachusetts.
Jemima Rich was b. est 1769 (probably in Wellfleet, Barnstable Ma.) died: 22 Aug 1832 in Wellfleet Ma.
Also mentioned with first name of Jenvive.
She first had a child with Elisha Baker of Wellfleet, Ma. (Unmarried) child: Henry Baker b.7 Jul 1786
There is a possibility she was raised by a grandmother on Griffin's Island, Wellfleet, Ma. but the name of the grandmother is also unknown if it was true.
Anyone that has any information that could help identify the parents or grandmother would be greatly appreciated.
