The spring 2006 issue of Kinfolk carried a three page article by Everett G. Marshall about Joseph Hampton Rich (1874-1949). "Public relations was the trade of Hamp Rich - he was a salesman, educator, patriot, administrator, civil servant, and statesman. He was not a historian, but he loved history; he was not an engineer, but he improved highways; he was not a sculptor, but he erected more than a hundred monuments; he was not an accomplished actor, but he portrayed Daniel Boone before thousands of children and adults; he was not a member of elite society, but he had Friends in high places." There is information about his ancestry as well as his family. Dick Rich - Whitman, MA Notify Administrator about this message?
