Jas Rice, Jennie Todd-Rice, William Todd
I am looking for information regarding my great-grandfather, James Rice; his wife, Jennie Todd-Rice; her uncle, William Todd; and their families.
I am just starting my geneology research.I do know that William Todd fought in in Company B of the 79th Highlanders Unit during the Civil War.He was enlisted on 05/28/1861 and mustered out on 05/31/1864.He authored a book titled, "The Seventy-Ninth Highlanders N.Y. Vols. 1861-1865 War of Rebellion."I have an original copy of this book which was given to my great-grandmother, Jennie Todd-Rice, in 1922.It was passed on to my Grandfather, James Atkinson Rice, in 1937, and then to my father, James Rice, in about 1983.
