In the census of Halifax Co in 1783, James ,Joseph, and John Rice, along with David Cheatham and John Martin was all in a roll in the tax census. Joseph married Mary Cheatham in Halifax Co, Virginia. In the Ky census from 1797 to 1820, they were also listed, and bought and sold land. Joseph Married
polly Ringo And died in Montgomery Co. His family and the family of James moved to Carroll and Gallatin Co, Ky
