Yes, my first cousin did the DNA and the brother of one of those back in AL had her brother do the DNA. There was an exact match between them, so we know we're working on the same family line with no hanky panky. LOL But, we didn't match anyone else. However, it was learned we do not have a match with descendants of Deacon Edmund Rice of New England "fame." There is a Daniel Rice in and around Claiborne Co, TN and he is a son of Henry Rice the grist miller. That line is connected to Deacon Edmund Rice, so we separated the two TN Daniels.

As far as we know none of our direct line of Rices were in KY. I had such a short time to copy what was in three books and didn't have time to pursue any of them to see if there were connections. I plan on working on this area some more on my next trip to SLC. After I got home I finished highlighting the family names and underling those who had married into the families. As I was reading a page I spotted another ancestor, Joseph Shores Price and wife Charity. I knew this ancestor was in VA, and others have done some work on his line, but I didn't know he was in Henry Co, VA, too. This now gives me six direct lines in Henry Co, VA at about the same time.

I find it interesting you tossed in the names Tandy and Senter, do you know why? I ask because those names show up in Rhea Co, TN, where our Joseph Rice, son of Daniel and Judith/Judy was married to Elizabeth Miller.

The name Spencer keeps popping up. I tried to make a connection with him, thinking Spencer might be less common, no luck. Spencer, and Daniel, had NC land grants located south of the Nolachucky, on different waterways, but not far from each other.

All of this began with a little handwritten "booklet" I found in the FHL that gave me clues on my Thomas Jones (wife Mary) and among others daughter Jemima who married William Standefer. I stumbled on Daniel and wife Judy by accident. That happened at 6:30 pm Saturday and we flew home the next day -- groan.

Ironically several generations later, descendants of Wm Standefer and Daniel Rice meet and marry down in Texas. They arrived in TX at different times, by different migrations.
