Seek information on Rachel Rice (could be "Rise"), born approx. 1845 to Christopher Eggers and Hannah Lutz Eggers.
Eldest of three children her siblings were Henry, born approx. 1847 and William, born 1848. Rachel married John R. Rice (Rise) in 1870 and apparently died prior to 1880.
Christopher Eggers died prior to 1850 and his widow, Hannah,married William Eggers, a brother to Christopher. That union produced three further children, Elizabeth, Frederick, and Edward. Henry Eggers married Elizabeth ("Lizzie") Guthrie and William married Annie Louise Guthrie,a sister of Elizabeth.
Henry Eggers and Lizzie Guthrie Eggers were my great-grandparents.
For several years I had believed that my great-grandparents were Henry Eggers and Hannah Temperwolf Eggers. But compelling evidence now identifies Christopher and Hannah Lutz Eggers as my great-grandparents.
