Hi Connie, sorry it has taken so long to answer your posting but we have been snowed in for about 2 weeks. I know he was born of Simon Corbett. He died and was adopted by a John Rice in 1863. George signed the adoption paper personally in 1863. We believe we was born about 1845. He took the Rice name because the Rice famiy basically raised him at an early age.
All the census services I have found want a fee and after the first 2 fees paid we found nothing. Any suggestions there?
