I am looking for Michel Desilet Mousseau born 7-4-1811 (I assume that's July 4th, 1811) the son of Jean Deslit Mousseau and Marie Richard. Jean and Marie married March 1802. Jean was widowed when he married Marie, he was first married to Catherine Lavoye Nov.13, 1769 in Montreal. Jean's father was Josehp Desilet Mousseau and his mother Genevieve Laporte.
In the greater Mousseau genealogy that has been done this Michel is listed but with no dates or further information. If this is my Michel, his father would have been 90 at the time of his birth (he was 79 when he remarried in 1802). This might explain why Michel Mousseau did not list his parents when he married in New York in 1840. I would imagine that his father would have died when he was young.
I am wondering if the Ricard family has any record of this Marie Ricard as she might have returned back to her family after her husband died in the early 1800's. Thanks for anything that might be of help!
