I don't have anything on Amos but I do on David;

Poor House cemetery, Dewittville, NY
David Codner d 20/April,1876 age 72 Westfield b 1804 Don't know who he belongs too.

David Codner d 26 Oct 1846 age 82 b 1764 s/o David and Martha Wilber Codner
Ann Elizabeth d Sep 13, 1848 age 35 b 1813 d/o David and Lucy
Clarissa d/o David and Lucy d May 15, 1844 age 45 b 1826

This is from Crane Brook Cemetery, Throop, Cayuga co NY

David and Martha had another son John Codner b 1767 in Rhode Island

David and Amos Codner settled 1864 a little west of Barnum on Lot 14. Some of the descendants still live there in Throopsville,

Cayuga co., NY 1860 census
Codner; Catherine age 36 b in Ireland
Clarissa age 7 b NY
David age 11 b NY
Edwin age 45 b NY
Egbert age 18 b Wisconsin
Julia age 42 b NY
Laura age 45 b NY
Mary age 14 b NY
Theodoreage8 b NY
Walter age 41 b NY
William age 5 b NY

I also have found a lot of Codner's born in Rhode Island and in Massachusetts the Codner's were there in 1620-1650 and I also have them.

I have a funny feeling that David Codner who married in 1763 may have come from Ireland as I have found some there also.

The Wilber's are mostly from Rhode Island around the Portsmouth/Newport area with the oldest being a Samuel who married Hannah Porter d/o John. I have his children.

The earliest in Ma. of the Codner's is Christopher, Marblehead m Mary d/o John Bennett. He was aldmen in 1660.
Some of the early Codner's went to New London, Ct.and I have them also.

I will do some further searching for Amost and David Jr wive Lucy.

Dot in NH
