Steadman/Scranton/McCoone

I have always been told the wife of William Steadman (b 4 May 1745 in S Kingston RI)was Hannah Scranton (b 13 May 1747 in Guilford, New Haven,CT) and that they married in S Kingston RI (no date). He is the son of Thomas Steadman (b 18 May 1699 in New London CT)and Hannah McCoone or MacCoon (b 18 May 1706 in S Kingston RI to Daniel McCoone & Sarah Place). I am not so certain of the Scranton connection. Does anyone know of a different Hannah at that time in SKRI that may possibly be William Steadman's wife? By the way William Steadman fought in the Revolutionary War; he was appointed Ensign in the Rhode Island Militia on 13 Sep 1790 and was the collector of taxes for Wash Co RI (appointed in 1799 by Gov Fenner). He and Hannah removed to Tyringham MAss; she collected war pension after his death. PLEASE CONTACT ME IF YOU KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT HANNAH. Thank you
Nancy Stedman Laux
