Caleb Gardner b. 1827, Newport, d. 1801 Providence. Lt. Col in Revolutionary War.
Who was his father? According to a deposition he made, his father built a wharf in Newport when he was a child.
His wife (m. Aug. 1852, Trinity church, Newport) was Eleanor Phillips. Her guardian was listed as her uncle, John Freebody. Who were her parents?
