I'm not related, but here's some info I found on Otto Giudice::
Otto died in Manhattan, NYC on Dec 19, 1914, and his wife Mary L. (Battene) Giudice died Jan. 5,1937.They are buried in the Common Burial Ground Cemetery in Newport.
1910 Manhattan Census::
Herbert Barney, head, age 33, born in R.I.
Ida E. Barney, wife, age 33, born in R.I.
Otto E. Giudice, father-in-law, age 62, born in Germany, painter at the Naval Yard.
Mary L. Giudice, mother-in-law, age 54, born in R.I., she has given birth to 2 children, and 1 is still living (Ida).
Herbert Barney, married Ida E. Giudice,June 9, 1901 in Manhattan.
Ida E. Barney died Jan. 29, 1912, age 32, in Manhattan.
Here are some portions of Otto Giudice's obituary, that appeared in The Newport Daily News, on Dec 24, 1914::
Otto was born in Germany, and came to Newport when he was 7 years old. He enlisted in The Civil war while in N.Y., and was in the Seventh Regimental Infantry. In 1864 he was commissioned a Corporal, and a year later promoted to Sergant.He was discharged with an excellent record. In 1867 he returned to Newport, where he resided till 1882. He worked for more then 22 years in The Brooklyn Naval Yard.
Bearers were Julius Lutz, Paul Schoenizier, George Battene, and William Brizleman.
