Are there any online vital records for RI?
I recently found that William Henry Carpenter's family was in Rhode Island since about the 1870's.When William died in 1914 in Boston, his obit. stated that he is survived by 4 brothers and that his paternal great-grandfather fought on the British side in the American Revolution and his maternal greatgrandfather fought in the Continental Army. I am wondering where his parents Joseph and Sabra died and when and where they are buried, and what their parents names were, and who some of his sister's married.I found most of his brothers, but don't know when they died or where they are buried.
Parents:Joseph & Sabra Miller (Meller) Carpenter both born RI 1816 and 1818.
Siblings:Elias H. born 1840, married Annie B.? died RI 12/28/1911 Had daughter Florence born 1872 married? died?
Sarah born 1845, married? died?
Ella born 1847, married? died?
Charles born 1850, married? died?
Joseph H. born 1852 married? died?
Frank born 1854 married? died?
Freemont born 1855 married? died?
I appreciate any information. Most of my research is in MA, so I do not know where to look for RI information.
Thank you,
Carol Blaisdell
