Dick,
Thanks for the tips. I just went to the Rhode Island Historical Society website (via the State homepage) and found links to vital records and geneology events at the Library in Providence, as well as the links needed to get to the Rhode Island Department of Health and Vital Records. I'll be writing to request the marriage record for Peter and Mary. Thanks again for the tips.
