Hi, After immigrating from Ireland, my great grandparents James and Helen McGuinness settled in Pawtucket, RI. They had at least one son, William Joseph McGuinness (b.1903). William was orphaned as a child and ended up in St. Joseph's Orphanage. There are a lot of coincidences here with your family--same parish, same surname, same town. I've heard that alot of McGuinness's from Ireland settled in Pawtucket. I wonder if some of these McGuinness families sponsored or paid for the passage of other family members to come to this country. In other words, maybe all the McGuinness's in Pawtucket are related. I'm still in the process of checking this out. Any ideas or leads will be appreciated.
