Ford:Thanks for the web site info.I'm from RI so I know where St. Ann's is but I'm sure there are many not in RI who will be glad to discover this site and the location of RI's St. Ann's Cemetery.
Unfortunately, the site doesn't list any of the gravesite info.I don't know of any site that does list RI Catholic cemetries and their burials.
Now that "community service" [forced volunteerism I've overheard teens call it] is linked to scholarships, Honor Society nomination/membership and who knows what else,I've been suggestingthat in addition to considering cleaning [big with Eagle Scout aspirants] one of the numerous small, historic family cemeteries that dot our landscape around here, they consider starting an ongoing project of mapping, transcribing and posting at the RI cemetery site, all the burials in large Catholic Cemeteries such as St. Ann's since the Diocesan Cemeteries Office [Providence, at any rate] is not very responsive to peoples' requests for assistance.I've also suggested that if they do decide to do a historic family cemetery clean-up; they go one step farther and transcribe, photograph and post that info online.Either project would be a tremendous service to family researchers everywhere.
