Hi Flo,
Thanks again. That is my Deverells in Pocassett Cemetery. The name gets spelled as Deverell, Deverall, sometimes with one "l", or even Deverill. It can be Irish or English. In my case, it is Irish. The 3 brothers, Edwin/Edward, William and Eli immigrated in the early 1870's from Hilperton to work in the woolen mills of the Blackstone Valley in RI and MA.Edward settled in Burrillville and Eli and William in Providence.Edward came to the US first, saved up and sent for his 2 brothers. Then the 3 brothers sent for their widowed mother, Ann, and younger sister, Emily. When they first immigrated, they were living in Millbury and that is where Ann and Emily lived until they died. Ann, Emily, Eli, William and their families are all buried in Central Cemetery in Millbury.Eli's line daughtered out and I think Edward's did too, although I can't be sure.William's line, from which I descend, still has a male line carrier. What I am looking for is a descendant from Edwards line-either from daughter Eva or Ada.I posted the information I have on Ada's line (Smith) but am still looking for information on Eva, marriage etc.
