Hi. I'm not related to this family. So far, I can tell you that Antoinette died after 1951, as evidenced by her husband's obituary in the Newport Mercury And Weekly News - Fri, 11 May 1951 - "James L. Garland, for 28 years a machinest at the Naval Torpedo Station here, died Tuesday at his home, 53 Pine street, Pawtucket, after a long illness. He was born in Pawtucket and lived there all his life. He retired seven years ago from the station. He was a member of St. Mary's Holy Name Society in Pawtucket, and of the Machinests Union of Newport. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Antoinette Meunier Garland, and a number of nieces and nephews."

Here she is in a 1959 directory listing:

U.S. City Directories, 1821-1989 (Beta) about Antoinette C Garland
Name:        Antoinette C Garland
Residence Year:        1959
Street Address:        53 Pine
Residence Place:        Pawtucket, Rhode Island
Publication Title:        Pawtucket, Rhode Island, City Directory, 1959
--Antoinette C Garland (wid James L) h53 Pine

You might wish to contact the catholic cemeteries in Pawtucket. There is a list here: http://www.diocesepvd.org/departments/catholic-cemeteries/ James may have been buried in the St. Mary cemetery. It states in a funeral notice (same newspaper - 8 May 1951 - for him "Services to be held Thursday morning from his home to St. Mary's Church there." Perhaps Antoinette is buried next to him. Here is another link to that cemetery: http://cemeteriesri.com/cemeteries_mary.html

Hope this helps. Annie
