The 1935 Rhode Island state census has an Urho WHITEHEAD, born 12-Oct-1914 in NY, living on Coventry Rd, Coventry, Kent County, Rhode Island. His occupation was lace weaver and he is listed as single.

Also living on Coventry Rd, though I can not tell if it is at the same address, is a Selma WHITEHEAD, born 3-April-1879 in Finland. She is listed as divorced, the head of the family with 3 people in the household.

There's also Helen WHITEHEAD, born 14-March-1916 in Massachusetts, occupation domestic servant, single.

There's a Rhode Island death record for Selma W. WALKEAPAA, alias WHITEHEAD, died 14-Sept-1942 in Coventry. Parents unlisted, spouse was John WHITEHEAD.

The 1925 Rhode Island state census for Coventry has this family:
WHITEHEAD, John age 54, born Finland
wife Selma age 47, born Finland
son Urho age 10, born New York
dau Nailen (?) age 9, born Massachusetts

On the 1930 census they are in the same location using the surname WALKEAPAE. John lists his immigration year as 1902 and Selma as 1901.

There's a NY marriage listing for John WALKEAPAA to Selma LIOBLOM on 5-March-1909 in Kings County, NY.

NY records has an Ilman or Ilmari WALKEAPAA born in May 1909 and died in January 1910, just the mother's name is listed, Selma.
