I am trying to trace Owen Arnold, who was born July 12, 1750 in Warwick, RI, a son of Owen and Elizabeth (Low) Arnold. This Owen Arnold married Susanna Wheeler, a daughter of Henry and Rebecca (Millard) Wheeler, and served in Capt. Joseph Kimball's Company of Minute Men, of Col. Stephen Kimball's Regiment of the RI State Troops from Scituate (Scituate Rangers) during the Revolutionary War.
It appears Owen's father, Owen, died sometime before December 6, 1761, the date that his widow married Elder Reuben Hopkins of Scituate, RI. I cannot seem to find anything on the older Owen Arnold. Family tradition states that he descended from Gov. Benedict Arnold and Roger Williams, but I can find no definite mention of him anywhere. Any help would be appreciated.
