Betsy, My Great Grandmother's name was Sara Smith, (Sadie to all of us) She married a William Rhynard, they lived in Indiana before I was born, and later moved to Troy, Ohio. Mr. Rhynard as she always called him, married her 4 times that I know of divorced her twice and she him once. I think the last time they just seperated, as she went and stayed with him for over a year when he was ill and dying. It sounds like we may be looking for the same family line. My niece has a lot more information about the family and where to find it. If I hear back from you I will be pleased to pass your email address on to her. I believe she has traced the family root back to the 1300's. I hadn't replied before as I just got the alert someone had replied this morning.
Thank's for the answer.
PJ
