MY grandmother was Annie Marie Rhynard born in 1878 in Halifax, N.S. Her parents were Sara Smith & William Rhynard. As far as I know ,there was just Annie & a brother william. At some point in time they moved to Indiana then to Troy Ohio. My grandmother & her brother came back to Me. She married my grandfather William Pulk in Eastport Me. They then moved to an island off the coast of Me, Vinalhven,& changed the name to Polk ??? they are both buried there. MY dad was "adopted" from family & raised on the island. He was never told of any of this. I'm trying to locate any Rhynards that may be relatives, as my dad may have been taken from that side of the family.MY dad was born in 1900 & died in 1964 when I was 13. So I'm on my own in this venture!!!I have more info on the Pulk side but very little on the Smith-Rhynard side.Any info would be of great help,I think that Le'tete, Canada & the area was a starting point for some of this side of the family.. I have been told that Sara & william had a difficult marriage & even may have been divorced at some time , there is a "Bailey" some how involved , so that might be true . If Sara came back to Me. with her children( my grandmother & her brother ?)Thanks Betsy
