hi john. i'm sure you probably know this as it has been several years since your posting. my understanding of how they came to ms was this: jessie jarrett rhymes was born in ga & married winnie ann wroten. winnie's mother was from ms. (margaret marzelle jones). i don't know where the 1st 2 children were born but the child born before winnie was born in jackson city, grenada co, ms. then winnie was b. in ga. then next child in copiah co, ms as well as the rest.
alexander mc intosh was born in moore co, nc & married mary ann rhymes dau of jessie & winnie. they settled in terry, hinds co, ms. (next to copiah co & crystal springs) after mary ann died in 1899, alexander moved to davis, murry co, indian terr (ok) where his dau mary jane's children lived. perhaps this info may help someone else. mary jane mc intosh francis was my greatgrandmother. susan
