While researching my Rhymes family, I came across a telephone number for Littlejohn Rhymes, who lives in Hardin County, Texas. He told me that his great, great, great "grandpappy" was Littlejohn Rhymes from Copiah Mississippi and that his Rhymes family originated from Germany.

In our conversation, I discovered that Littlejohn (Caucasion) actually met my grandfather, Elmo (Black). Apparently, in their converesations, they surmised that my grandfather's family were the servants and/or slaves of his family.

If anyone has any information regarding the Rhymes that were servants or slaves, or if you stumble across any information on the Rhymes of Jasper, Village Mills, or Texas in general, please advise. If you want Littlejohn's telephone number, email me, I will dig it out.
