Charles,

Iīm only well informed about the german lineage and a part of the french lineage from Strasbourg, which seemed to swap over to Germany in the last two centuries.

There is an old lineage in Zurich, Switzerland. A coat of arms exists there (1400). You can find it in the "Siebmacherīs Wappenbuch von 1605". If you donīt like to buy the book, Iīll send you the crest via mail.

The Rey family is spread over the whole Switzerland and it seems to have its roots in France.

One additional question: Is your family catholic or lutherian religion (huguenotte?). This information would be search more easy.
