My g-grandmother was born Anna E. Rey, in 1841,emigrating from Switzerland in 1850. She married Charles O.Butler in Illinois. In the 1900 census they were living in Lucerne township of Kings Co., CA. Living with them was Rudolf Rey, her brother. My grandfather was name Rudolf Rey Butler, born 1865 in Illinois. My grandmother was a cousin of his, born Luise Mueller, daughter of Johannes Muller, immigrating in 1882 from Fahrwangen. I have not researched the Rey line at all, but I hope to in the future, and hope I can call on you for help. I visited Fahrwangen back in 1992; unfortunately I was not interested in genealogy at the time, or I would be of more help to you possibly.
