A couple of marriage and court records provide info about John Joseph Rey and daughters. Joseph German/Germain married Ann Claire Rey 1/31/1817 (minister Fenwick) in Balto Co; in 1815 Emelie Rey and Aurore Rey vs. John B. Jauffret, Francis Delaporte and Peter H. Terme (Chancery Court #4194); 1817 Francis Delaporte vs. Emile Rey and Aurore Rey (Chan. Ct. # 1346); 1818 Joseph Germain and Ann C. Germain vs. Amelia Rey, James Courages, Henry Messionier and John B. Allegre re: estate of John Joseph Rey. During the last days of the 1700s and early 1800s Baltimore was home to a number of refugees from St. Domingo and Haiti who fled the Haitian slave revolt of 1791-1803. Any connections out there to these Reys?
