I am a descendant of Prof Jean Guillaume Charles (Eugen) Rey of Berlin, Halle and Leipzig. He was a Prof of Chemistry and Natural Science. He was the great great grandson of Pierre Rey (born Montauban 1721) and the Marquise La Bruyere. I wonder if you have any more information? The family came from Spain and France and moved to Germany and then South Africa. I live in Cape Town. Best wishes, Daphne Beames (nee Hook, Eedes, Gadow, Rey)
