most all the rexwinkle people are descendants of [dr/phd] Hendrik Rexwinkle [born Rexwinkel] of Vaarseveld, Gelderland, Nederlands most other Rexwinkel immigrant descendants spell it the dutch way.
dr rexwinkle was part of the BEERNINK family passage [Aleijda was the wifes's name -beernink being her maiden name] aboard the Barque Manchester in august 9, 1847 froim rotterdam, nederlands to philadephia, pa, usa
here is more:
#8-2. Aleijda BEERNINK, born 30 Mar 1811, Varsseveld, Gelderland, Netherlands; died 1850,
Cleveland, Ohio; married 27 December 1832, Varsseveld, Gelderland, Netherlands,
Hendrik REXWINKLE (born REXWINKEL), born, Hoederslag, Netherlands,
son of Berend REXWINKEL and Aleida TER 12 Mar 1808BEEST; died 2 May 1894, Vandalia, Illinois.
Berend was son of Derk Jan REXWINKEL. After Aleijda (BEERNIK) REXWINKLE's death,
Hendrik married second Catherine Triebel SCHMIDT. Hendrik's last name became
REXWINKLE when he arrived in America. Kansas relatives now spell their name
"REXWINKLE," and California relatives spell it "REXWINKEL." Americanized Aleijda's name
became Lydia BENNETT.
hope this helps
rexwinkle's /rexwinkel's are also descendeants of arnimus the german leader at teutoberger Wald in 9 A.D.
