Hello Kimberly, I received your posting message in the Genforum regarding Mycajah Revels. I have been researching the family for some time now and have 11 3 ring binders full of info. By the way, I live in Mauston. Anyway, were you and your mother part of the May 19, 2001 reunion in Hillsboro? I have recently come across the Revels name listed as being on the very first slave ship to come to America. The claim seems to be that the folks on the ship were from a tribe called Mulungeons. This was clear back in the 1600s.
Why don't you e-mail me direct and we'll "talk". onbreak@jvlnet.com
By the way, what line of Revels do you guys come from? Are you related to Diane Revels or Gen Reko? My line is: Me (Dorie Quist), Wayne Duckworth, Ida Revels-Duckworth, Jep Revels, Aaron Revels, Mycajah Revels, Stephen Revels. I'm still working on further back from here!!
I hope to hear from you soon. Your "cousin", Dorie
