Lavinia (Louvinia) Futrell m. James Revell July 10, 1845 in Northampton NC.James Revell b. Hertford County NC. to Matthew & Nancy Revell. This Matthew Revell witnessed a deed between Sampson Futrell and Micajah Revell in Northampton Co.Matthew Revell could have been a grandson of either Joseph John or his brother, Matthew.I sure wouldn't want to venture a guess as to which.James & Lavinia Revell were the parents of Littleberry, Elizabeth, Charles & Anne Missouri Revell.Anne m. William Patmus Futrell. He was the son of Ira & Mary J. Futrell.Anne & William's son, Willie E. married Elizabeth (Betty) Revell. She was the dau. of Littleberrry (mentioned above), so they were first cousins. So yes, the Revells & Futrells intermarried quite a bit in this family.I have more examples & proofs if anyone is interested.I will be adding more to my RootsWeb website in the next couple of days on this family.I did some research in SLC 2 wks ago & found a couple of marriage records that tied this family up better.
Patience Futrell was the dau. of William Futrell, great grandfather of Lavinia (mentioned above). The Micajah who was the son of Joseph John was unmarried in the 1790 Newbern Dist., Wayne Co census.
The Micajah who married Patience Futrell was b. in Northampton NC.
