Hey, Nancy, we're cousins!
My information came from your gg grandfather Frank's bio. om page 693-694 in the book, "Biographical History of La Crosse, Trempealeau & Buffalo Counties. WI pub. in 1892.
Where did you get the info. on Michael's brother, Kaspar/Casper?Is it from a Bible entry? And shades of "Titanic"...that Michael and Eva met on board the ship!
I can give you maybe a few places to search...:
An Adam Seipel buried with wife Katharina at St. Fidelis Catholic Cemetery, Meeme Twp., Manitowoc Co., WI was b. 1814 and d. 1 Jan 1902, Katharina was b. 30 Aug 1814 and d. 18 Feb 1900.There are also absolute tons of Seipel names in Dunn Co., WI.Get hold of the "Index to 1888 Dunn Co., WI Plat Book", (I believe its on Genweb). The surname is spelled Seipel, Sipel, Sippel.
A Mary Ann Seipel married Ambrose Eizert on 22 May 1848 in Harrison Co., IN--which is where many of the families who later moved to Buffalo Co., WI had first lived (its close to Floyd Co.).
Also check out Seip, Jacob, Pvt. M Co., 7th PA Cav., buried at New Albany National Cemetery, Floyd Co., IN, plot #734, who died in the Civil War.
Please e-mail me back at [email protected]
Cousin Claudia
