Danielle, Good for you about finding your family, the same thing happened to me. i was an only child and never knew i had relatives living 40 miles away in hartford Ct. Now there are ones that really love me and some are not so crazy about the Faccinto name, i grew up in Hamden, CT. all my life but went by the Facciuto name, My grandmother who was Filomena Colangelo died in 1915 and i am told i favor that side of the family. I had a cousin up until Feb this year 2007 , and he looks like my brother. his son was skeptical too, talking to me on the phone but when he saw me in person he knew i was family. I think it is great i am now 64 and some relatives are getting up in age. one cousin who was 86 when i first met her just could not believe it. Imagine she said at my age finding more family and she has found more, Then there were relatives tons in PA. who took the name Faccuitto and changed it to Fletcher. My uncle told me that when i was too young to even think about genealogy. It has been a great experience. Betty Facciuto McLaughlin
