Paulyne:Thanks, for the info.I am in contact with Jim.He and I are in the same Retherford/Rutherford lineage and we are both trying to solve Thursie's parentage. When I saw the messages about the WKR books I was interested because I had never heard about them before.I will try to find a copy.Yes we have much of our John A's information. He was born in Puluski,GA, I believe.I don't have my information with me (I'm at work).Jim has extensive info on Retherford/Rutherford's and has shared it all with me.He's great. We email each other a lot.I will get to meet him and some other "cuzins" this July at a Reunion near where I now live.We believe Thursie may have been an illegitmate child of Alexander Pate's.He was living in Georgia, Thomas County at the time it is listed that Thursie Anne was born 1832. I may have said this before, but Alexander Pate (Thursie's father) is my gggreatfather on my father's side and John A. Retherford (Thursie's husband) was my ggggrandfather on my mother's side. This genealogy stuff can get very interesting!!Janet
